Cacklefest returns for 2011... What is a Cacklefest ?

A cacklefest is "not" a gathering of hens. It is a collection of nostalgic race cars and dragsters. When a group of these vehicles are gathered all together in one place, the earth shaking, ear pounding, adrenaline pumping experience is truly unbelievable. The Cacklefest begins after the award ceremony Saturday afternoon. Make plans to be on Main Street before 3:00 pm Saturday, June 4, 2011. Hope to see you there!

June 4th Flamethrower Challenge

Local business owner, Vito Strolis is issuing a challenge to car or truck owners with flame throwing equipped vehicles to try to throw out longer and more flames than the 1947 Dodge Wrecker from Ruehle's Towing called "Old Betsy." She has been updated with a late model V-8 and automatic transmission as well as other goodies to make her a dependable old gal. Her best accessory is the awesome flame throwing equipped dual exhaust.

Come to the 20th Annual Bud Light Cruise Night, June 4th, 2011 in beautiful downtown Mount Clemens to see her perform! If you think you can out flame her; there is a cash prize to the winner (except the old gal). Come watch her or challenge her.

1st Annual Pinstriper Panel Jam for Local Charities

New for 2011, the first annual Pinstriper Panel Jam for Charity. Automotive panels and miscellaneous car items will receive an "artistic touch". Pinstripers and artists will be on hand to display their talent and work. Items will be auctioned off and ALL monies raised will be distributed to local charities

In Memory of "Charlie Brown"

A good guy and great buddy left us this past car season. Charlie Brown an avid car authority and good friend to many unexpectedly passed away. If you don't remember the man by name, you probably will recognize his car, a 1971 Buick Riviera. Charlie and his car were recently awarded the Tech Car of the Week in June of 2010. Charlie Brown you are missed by us all. You were a definite Friend of Mount Clemens.

2011 Cruise/Show Dates - 20th Year Anniversary!

Mark your calendars for the 2011 cruise year. June 3 & 4, 2011 and August 6, 2011. Next year is the 20th year of the Mount Clemens Cruise. The oldest and longest running show on the East Side!

Tom Walther proves to be the crowd favorite with his beautiful blue 1957 Chevy. Tom was the overwhelming crowd favorite. He must have done something to his car since the last show, The flames were "HUGE". Congratulations Tom on your victory. Special thanks to all that participated
